Bay Section Leadership Conference Logistics

Dear Competitors,

Bay Section is coming up in less than one week! In order for things to run smoothly, please read through the entire letter that will fully inform you about the conference. Please note the change in time from 7:45 AM to 7:30 AM.

Location: Lynbrook High School (1280 Johnson Avenue San Jose, CA 95129-4199)

Date: Saturday, February 27^th

Time: 7:30 AM (Please be sure go get a good night’s rest!)

What to Bring:

Photo identification- school ID, driver’s license

Three #2 pencils for written events

What to Pick Up at the Conference Site:

Conference Program

Slip of paper noting which session you compete in (HIGHLY IMPORTANT)

Dress Code:

Females

·         Business suit with blouse

·         Skirt or dress slacks with blouse or sweater

·         Business dress

·         Dress shoes with straps on the back

·         Nylons when wearing skirts and dresses

·         Capri pants are not allowed

Males

·         Business suit with collared dress shirt, and tie

·         Dress slacks, collared shirt, and tie

·         Polos may be worn only if business suit is worn

·         Dress shoes and socks (No white socks)

Inappropriate attire for both men and women includes:

·         Jewelry in visible body piercing, other than ears

·         Denim, overalls, shorts, skorts, stretch or stirrup pants, exercise or bike shorts

·         Backless, see-through, tight-fitting, thin straps, strapless, extremely short, or low-cut tops

·         T-shirts, Lyrica, spandex, midriff tops, tank tops, bathing suits

·         Athletic wear, including sneakers and hats

·         Visible foundation garments

Note:  Many women’s two-piece suits are currently designed so that they do not require a blouse. These will be accepted. In addition, sling-back shoes, open-toe shoes, and sleeveless dresses are accepted. Think conservative and use common sense. If there is a doubt, select something else to wear
