The Homestead High School Chapter of FBLA was organized in 1980 by business teacher Marge Dennin. Homestead FBLA was officially chartered as Chapter 8990 by the Live Oak High School FBLA Chapter on January 14, 1981. Since then, Ms. Marge Dennin, Mr. Dan Rehor, Ms. Jorjann Peters, and the current adviser, Mr. Byron Lee, have advised the chapter. There has been dramatic growth in membership over the last couple of years. The chapter has been managed by over 20-person officer teams but last year was brought down to 16. This year, the officer team is composed of 17 well-rounded and extremely talented students advised by Mr. Byron Lee, Mr. Graeme Logie, and Mr. Edmond Kwong.
